A north Mackay man has been sentenced for the brutal bashing of a dog caught on camera. The thirty year old pleaded guilty in Mackay Magistrates Court yesterday, saying he was coming down from meth at the time of the attack. He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, 18 months’ probation, was ordered to pay $100 in costs, had his conviction recorded, and has been banned from owning animals for three years.
