Chris from Cranbourne - the bearded Essendon fan spotted giving the players a serve over the boundary on Saturday - joined Triple M's Hot Breakfast on Monday morning to express his frustration with their loss to the Western Bulldogs.

The Bombers slumped to a 104-point loss against the Dogs on Saturday night, which included a run of conceding 21 consecutive goals.

It sees them remain seventh and still with a chance of playing finals, but the Bombers will likely need another win to secure their spot with the worst percentage in the top 13.

Chris stayed until the end of the game - a decision which "wasn't easy" - and expressed the feeling amongst the fanbase.

He was less animated, but he had a crack at the effort of the players and the tactics from the coaches.

"It's a bit of a build-up over a long period of time," he explained.

"We haven't won a final for 15 years, and we're on the cusp of it. We just need one more win."

"There's one thing you can control every week and that's effort, and I didn't see that at all on the weekend, and I can't hack that as a supporter.

"Why are they allowing a team to kick 21 consecutive goals?"
