Doug Hawkins Absolutely Gets Stuck Into Darce Over His First AFL Game!

The Hot Breakfast was celebrating the 25th anniversary of Darce's first AFL game on Tuesday morning.
Calling to commemorate the occasion was Doug from Braybrook, who had a vivid memory of the occasion.
Turns out it was then-Footscray veteran Doug Hawkins, who recalled a confident young Darce strutting his stuff after being picked and a desolate figure in the rooms after the game!
"I went over to 'Libba' (Tony Liberatore) because Libba was rover, I said Libba, how did Darce go?" he recalled.
"He said Hawk, I don't reckon he kicked it. I DON'T RECKON HE GOT A KICK!"
"You never got a kick Darce! THAT'S AMAZING BROTHER!"
