It's going to be one of the biggest talking points heading into the off-season.

But what will West Coast or Fremantle have to cough up to secure the services of out of contract Geelong star Tim Kelly?

WHAT TIM KELLY'S WORTH:

Kelly, who surged into the lead on the Triple MVP award with 14 votes from eight games, will be part of a three-way stoush between Geelong, West Coast and Fremantle at the end of the year.

Barrett told Triple M's Rush Hour he believed Kelly was worth a significant price at the trade table.

He did also say the "scope" for what Geelong could earn at the trade table could have been higher if Kelly wasn't limited to two possible destinations.

"It does limit the scope for which can be gained by way of him being traded, because he's limited the market place to two," he said.

"I'm not saying two (picks) in the top five, but it's going to have to be something like that."
