Authorities have reopened the Coolgardie Esperance Highway after a fire threatened the road on Friday.

Traffic is being handled and directed at the release points to ensure that there is not a large amount of trucks and caravan mixing with general traffic.

This will be monitored by Police at Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman.

Acting Police Superintendent for the Goldfields Esperance Region, Tony Colfer gave us some advice for motorists "The road will be busy. Please take the appropriate caution to ensure you to arrive at your destination safely. There will be resources out on the road to ensure the safety of motorists"
