More Single-use Plastics Banned In NSW
Adam Crouch MP joins Paddy & Rob
Additional single-use plastic items have been banned in New South Wales.
As of the 1st November the NSW Government is banning single-use items, including:
- plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery, plates, bowls and cotton buds
- food ware and cups made from expanded polystyrene
- rinse-off personal care products containing plastic microbeads
Adam Crouch MP - Member for Terrigal joined Paddy and Rob to explain the reason behind the ban.
“60% of litter in NSW is made up of single use plastic” Mr Crouch said “We’ve got to do a better job to make sure we keep our environment cleaner”.
